Originally from Dolbeau-Mistassini, Quebec Sara completed a stint at the École Nationale de la chanson to then participate in the Festival international de la chanson de Granby, the Bourse Objectif Scène in Saguenay, as well as the Festival de la chanson de Saint-Ambroise, where she won several awards.

Her first album Dépanneur Pierrette was released in September 2016. This earned her a nomination at the 2017 ADISQ in the "Album of the Year - Country" category. On her most recent album Sara Dufour which was released in April 2019, Sara Dufour renews herself by including more rock sounds, with roaring electric guitars, leading us on her pictorial lyrics, sometimes festive, sometimes intimate, but always unifying. Ell is nominated at the ADISQ 2020 in the category "Album of the year - Folk" for this album.
